Ford Fiesta owners will soon be able to see the differences between the front and rear spoiler on their cars.
Ford is introducing new hardware on all 2018 Ford Fiesta models to help the automaker gauge the difference between them.
The new hardware is called “Suspension Sensor System for Enhanced Front-Suspended Performance” and will be available in 2018 model year Fiesta trims.
The system monitors how the rear spoiler is installed on the car and whether it is ford-like or a different style of spoiler.
Ford says that the sensor system will give the car an “excellent” feel when it comes to how the car handles when it is being driven on the road.
Fiesta owners will also be able see the difference in rear spoiler width, which can help determine whether a spoiler is for or dsporttrac.
The front-suspended spoiler is only used on the 2018 Fiesta and Fiesta ST trims, so it will not be available on any other models in 2019.
The new sensor system has also been tested in real-world driving conditions on the Nürburgring Nordschleife and Nordsgemeinschaft in Germany.
Ford will offer the sensor technology in the next few months, and will make it available in the new 2018 Fiesta trabs as early as the fall.
