Fox Sports has introduced its first new sports app since it bought the network in January 2016.
The company announced the release of the Fox Sports 2 app on Tuesday, and the app has now launched to a wide range of devices, from the iPad and Android tablets to the Apple TV.
“Fox Sports 2 brings our fans the most comprehensive collection of sports content to any platform, including on mobile and TV,” Fox Sports President Sean McManus said in a statement.
The app offers up-to-the-minute live scores, analysis of the best games of the day, and video highlights from a range of sports.
“Our goal is to deliver the most complete sports experience for fans across all platforms, and Fox Sports is proud to deliver this next-generation sports experience on mobile, iOS and Android,” McManuses added.
“This is our first foray into the world of digital video and we are excited to bring it to our fans.”
The launch comes on the heels of a slew of new sports-focused apps launched on iOS and Google Play.
Fox Sports will soon release a new app on the Xbox app store, which allows users to watch live games in the comfort of their couch.
The launch of Fox Sports on the iOS and Mac App Stores also brings Fox Sports’ first new game for Apple TV in months.
The new Fox Sports app is available on the App Store and Google play, and can be downloaded for free.
Fox also announced Tuesday that it will launch a new Fox Soccer app in the coming months.
Fox Soccer will be available on Apple TV and Roku.
Fox and its partners also announced that the launch of the new Fox News app on iOS will allow users to follow their favorite shows.
The Fox News mobile app will also soon be available for iPhone and iPad users.
Fox Sports’ launch comes amid a new wave of new apps from other sports networks.
Major League Soccer announced that it is launching its own sports app in early 2017.
MajorLeague Soccer, the sports league’s parent company, will launch an app that will provide fans with access to its online game, match-day experience, and other features.
The NFL, which is owned by Time Warner Cable, also plans to launch a mobile app in 2017.
ESPN is launching a new sports video channel in 2017 that will be powered by the MLB’s app.
The NHL is also planning to launch its own app in 2019.
The UFC is also adding to the mix.
The NBA is also looking to launch an NBA app in 2018.
NFL Network is also working on a new TV app.
NBA.com has been updated to include the new Apple TV app, which will be released in the spring.
